Companhia de Seguro com comerciais criativos
Uma companhia de seguros americana encontrou uma forma diferente de comparar os seus produtos com o de outras companhias.
O interessante é que além de fazer o consumidor pensar sobre quem oferece o melhor serviço e também é confiável, eles passam diversas mensagens. Tem uma sobre consumo de medicamento sem prescrição médica, outra sobre maus motoristas e etc.
A que eu mais gostei foi com o personagem da série de TV Breaking Bad Walter Hartwell White ou Walt para a família.

Motivação
Empilhando hábitos: Como mudar finalmente a sua rotina matinal.

Kaizen, a palavra japonesa para "melhoria contínua", é muitas vezes aplicado em situações de negócios para melhorar como um negócio funciona e, portanto, a rentabilidade de toda a operação. Concentrando-se na crença de que bons processos traz bons resultados, este mesmo ideal pode ser aplicado a você e seus hábitos.
Apenas cinco minutos
Quando se trata de mudança de hábitos, eu sou um grande crente no semi-famoso "apenas cinco minutos" abordagem para fazer as coisas. A lógica aqui é se você diz a si mesmo que você está indo só fazer exercício, escrever, lavar a louça ou limpar seu apartamento para "apenas cinco minutos", seu cérebro não tem muito argumentos para evitar a tarefa. Ninguém pode argumentar com cinco minutos, incluindo o seu cérebro, por isso, permite que você execute.
Naturalmente, o que, em seguida, normalmente acontece é mais ou menos na marca da sua tarefa de cinco minutos, você começa a entrar nela. Você percebe que não é tão difícil quanto você tinha atrelada que ele seja, e você começa a ter um gosto para ela, um gosto que irá, em seguida, levá-lo a querer continuar com a tarefa.

BJ Fogg falou de um exemplo extremo disso, quando ele trouxe a sua prática de uso do fio dental apenas um dente por dia durante palestra em novembro de 2012 no TEDx Conversa. Eu tinha usado fio dental periodicamente durante anos, mas eu nunca tinha sido capaz de fazer o salto para que isso se torne um hábito diário. Inspirado por Fogg, eu dei me uma chance. No primeiro dia da minha tarefa de criação do hábito eu acordei, rolei para fora da cama, e fiz meu caminho para o banheiro. Passei o fio deu em um único dente.
Em vez de ficar satisfeito comigo mesmo (fiquei bastante desapontados). Eu fui escovar meus dentes (todos eles, um hábito que eu felizmente trabalhei na infância), antes de olhar para a lista de hábitos diários que eu queria trazer para minha rotina matinal nestes meses:
- Uso do fio dental
- Alongamento
- Flexões
- Meditação
Estes são os hábitos que eu queria "empilhar". Eu imediatamente comecei, primeiro alongamento como eu nunca tinha esticado antes (o que não é muito longe da verdade), antes de saltar no chão para fazer 10 flexões. Eu poderia ter feito mais, mas eu sabia que a única maneira que eu ia ter uma oportunidade justa de aderir a este hábito era permitir-me a ter um gostinho para ele, um gosto que então me levaria a querer continuar com a tarefa .
Após cada uso do fio dental, que se estende da sessão e flexões, bebi um copo de água e sentei durante cinco minutos de meditação silenciosa. Cinco minutos lentamente tornou-se dez, que logo se transformou em quinze anos.
Empilhando Hábitos
Por que isso funciona? Durante sua TEDx Talk, Fogg afirmou que existem três coisas que têm que acontecer no mesmo momento para causar um novo comportamento. Você tem que ter a motivação para fazê-lo, a capacidade de fazê-lo, e um gatilho deve ocorrer para lembrá-lo de fazê-lo.
Ele explicou que o seu gatilho pode ser qualquer hábito ou comportamento existente; contanto que você estabeleça exatamente qual novo hábito será o gatilho. ( mais por trás desta ciência aqui ). Podemos usar este efeito para hábitos "empilhados". Parece bobo, mas o gatilho para a minha rotina de uso do fio dental estava acordando. O gatilho para a minha rotina de alongamento foi uso do fio dental. E assim por diante.
Um hábito na minha lista original que eu não mencionei acima, foi o desejo de começar a ler ficção espanhola em uma base diária. Eu não conseguiu criar esse hábito, e eu acredito que a razão de eu não conseguir é porque eu não empilhei em minha rotina matinal, em vez de escolher a fazê-lo imediatamente antes de ir para a cama cada noite, portanto, não dando-lhe o gatilho que precisava. Você pode ter toda a motivação do mundo para formar um novo hábito, e ele pode ser bem dentro de sua capacidade, mas sem o gatilho não tem nada para segurar.
Se você não conseguiu trazer certos hábitos em sua rotina matinal, no passado, tente trancando-os em sua rotina matinal inicial cinco minutos de cada vez, ou como Fogg explica, através da formação de um "hábito minúsculo" em que o hábito existente é o gatilho do seu novo minúsculo comportamento. Stacking Habits: How to Finally Stick to Your Morning Routine

Focusing on the belief that good processes bring good results, this same ideal can be applied to you and your habits.
Only Five Minutes
When it comes to changing habits, I’m a big believer in the semi-famous “only five minutes” approach to getting things done. The logic here is if you tell yourself you’re only going to exercise, write, wash the dishes, or clean your apartment for “only five minutes,” your brain doesn’t have much of a leg to stand on. Nobody can argue with five minutes, including your brain, so it lets you have it.
Of course, what then usually happens is at about the five-minute mark of your task, you start to get into it. You realize it isn’t as hard as you had pegged it to be, and you start to get a taste for it, a taste which will then lead you to wanting to continue with the task.

BJ Fogg spoke of an extreme example of this when he brought up his practice of flossing just one tooth a day during his November 2012 TEDx Talk. Describing such an action as a “tiny habit,” Fogg noted that “You don’t need to train in flossing all your teeth, you need to train in making it automatic.”
Fogg went on to explain how once one of your new “tiny habits” has become a full-blown habit, you can use this existing habit as a gateway to creating many others; effectively “stacking” one habit on top of another.
I had been flossing periodically for years, but I’d never been able to make the leap into it becoming a daily habit. Inspired by Fogg, I gave it a try. On the first day of my habit creation task I woke up, rolled out of bed, and made my way to the bathroom. I flossed one single tooth.
Rather pleased with myself (if fairly underwhelmed) I went on to brush my teeth (all of them; a habit I thankfully crafted in childhood), before looking down at the list of daily habits I wanted to bring into my morning routine in the coming months:
- Flossing
- Stretching
- Push-ups
- Meditation
These are the habits I wanted to “stack.” I immediately got started, first stretching like I’d never stretched before (which isn’t too far from the truth), before jumping on the ground to do 10 push-ups. I could have done more, but I knew the only way I was going to have a fair shot at sticking to this habit was to allow myself to get a taste for it, a taste which would then lead me to wanting to continue with the task.
After each flossing, stretching, and push-ups session, I drank a glass of water and sat down for five minutes of silent meditation. Five minutes slowly became ten, which soon morphed into fifteen.
Stacking Habits
Why did this work? During his TEDx Talk, Fogg claimed that there are three things that have to happen at the same moment to cause a new behavior. You have to have the motivation to do it, the ability to do it, and a trigger must occur to remind youto do it.
He explained that your trigger can be any existing habit or behavior; so long as you establish exactly what the new habit that follows the trigger will be (more on the science behind that here). We can use this effect to “stack” habits. It sounds silly, but the trigger for my flossing routine was waking up. The trigger for my stretching routine was flossing. And so on.
One habit on my original list that I didn’t mention above was the wish to start reading Spanish fiction on a daily basis. I failed to create this habit, and I believe the reason I failed is because I didn’t stack it into my morning routine, instead choosing to do it immediately before going to bed each night, thus not giving it the trigger it needed. You can have all the motivation in the world to form a new habit, and it can be well within your ability, but without that trigger it has nothing to hold on to.
If you’ve failed to bring certain habits into your morning routine in the past, try latching them onto your morning routine stack starting five minutes at a time, or as Fogg explains it, by forming a “tiny habit” wherein the existing habit is your new tiny behavior’s trigger. Tell yourself:
After I [existing habit], I will [new tiny behavior].
